A 104-year-old woman, Iyom Josephine Ezeanyaeche has justified her endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi ahead of the Saturday’s presidential election.
Popularly known as Mama Africa, 104-year-old Ezeanyaeche said she wants Obi to win the presidency in Saturday’s election because he has the ability to transform Nigeria into an investment hub.
This was said by Ezeanyaeche in her speech when she went to the Labour Party’s office in Abuja on Thursday.
She said that Obi was chosen as the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s next president because he was the qualified candidate among the four major candidates.
The criteria for his selection, according to her, were “nationally orientated and accepted for his visionary leadership, integrity, transparency, competence, capacity, character, selflessness, enlightenment, education, and nationalism.” Naming him to this honorable task in our evaluation will give Nigerians reassurance for a fresh start.
Once the economy is restored, it will be simpler to fight insecurity, eliminate corruption, and enhance the social well-being of the population. Obi will fix the economy and generate employment.
“Peter Obi will ardently pursue significant constitutional amendments that will result in the dedication of authority, fiscal federalism, and establishment of excellent administration and the rule of law,” according to the campaign website.
According to Ezeanyaeche, Obi has a fantastic opportunity to fundamentally alter the direction of the nation. Also, he possesses the moral integrity, technical proficiency, and mental ability to consider his prior successes and performances.
She continued by saying that Obi will bring Nigerians together on all fronts to create a strong country.
She claimed that Nigerians have been waiting patiently for the younger generation to step up and assume leadership in order to get her out of her present predicament.
Nigerians will recover from the scars brought on by ineffective leadership, she promised.
Mr. Juius Abure, the party’s chairman, commended Ezeanyaeche for having faith in Obi to change Nigeria.
According to Abure, a lot of groups and political parties have endorsed Obi recently because they are confident in his ability to perform.
“As a result, I want to implore all of our followers to cast their ballots for the labor party on Saturday, May 25, which is the 25th of this month.
