Dr Rabiu Kwankwso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has committed to make the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) result valid for four years.
Kwankwaso made the commitment while giving party flags to six North East State gubernatorial candidates and 18 Senatorial contenders at the North East presidential rally on Thursday in Bauchi.
He stated that many kids take JAMB exams and get outstanding scores, but for one reason or another, they are not admitted, and it is not their fault.
“These children and their parents are obliged to endure the financial burden to appear for the tests the next year but when voted into power, “we would make JAMB results valid for four years.
“We would impose a four-year ban on JAMB so that our youngsters may utilize the same JAMB scores to get admission into our tertiary education institutions throughout that time,” he stated.
If elected, the presidential contender vowed to make entrance and employment application forms free.
“We will update and extend all of our universities, polytechnics, and institutions of education to global competitiveness standards.” To accommodate the roughly 20 million out-of-school youngsters, my government would build 500,000 classrooms across the federation.
“We will make all examinations, including WASC, NECO, NABTEB, NBIAS, and JAMB, free,” he stated.
Kwankwaso stated that all NNPP gubernatorial candidates in the North East region have the competence and capacity to give effective governance to the people of the region.
Governorship candidates that obtained flags included Saadu Tahir Adamawa, Sen. Haliru Jika Bauchi, Dr. Umar Alkali Borno, Mohammed Mailantarki, Gombe, Yahaya Sani, Taraba, and Umar Alhaji Yobe States.
Sen. Jika, the NNPP governorship candidate in Bauchi state, also spoke, urging his followers to stay focused and vote for the NPPP from top to bottom.
“We want to alter the narratives of the country’s leadership; our party believes in all-inclusive purposefulness with the commitment of offering dividends of democracy to the population,” he stated.
