Erling Haaland of Manchester City smashed the hat-trick records of four former Premier League great, including Ruud van Nistelrooy, on Sunday.
Haaland accomplished the milestone after hitting a hat-trick in Man City’s 3-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Haaland’s three goals against Wolves were his fourth Premier League hat-trick in only 19 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s team this season, shattering Van Nistelrooy’s record (fourth hat-trick in 65 appearances).
Haaland also beat the hat-trick records of Luis Suárez (fourth hat-trick in 81 games), Alan Shearer (fourth hat-trick in 86 appearances), and Robbie Fowler (fourth hat-trick in 89 appearances).
Haaland has been in superb form since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund last year.
The Norway international is presently the Premier League’s top scorer this season, ahead of Harry Kane and Ivan Toney.
