Hakim Ziyech, a Chelsea winger, has surfaced as a surprise loan target for Premier League team Everton this January transfer window, according to Sami Mokbel of The Daily Mail.
Ziyech joined Chelsea from Ajax in the summer of 2020 in a €40 million transfer.
However, his transfer to Stamford Bridge has not gone as planned. Ziyech has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea thus far. Ziyech’s contract with the Blues will expire in 2025, but his future is uncertain.
According to reports, he is one of several players who could be released at the end of the current season.
The Moroccan international, on the other hand, appears to have options to leave the London giants during the current winter transfer window.
However, according to the aforementioned source, the 29-year-old has surfaced as a surprise target for Everton, who are among the clubs interested in getting Ziyech on loan.
The Toffees might sign him on a short-term agreement before making the transfer permanent.
“Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is fascinating Everton, among other teams, on an initial loan. “More on @MailSport,” said Mokbel on Sunday.
