Abdulahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that the party would establish a National Institute of Progressive Study. Additionally, the party aims to set up functional offices in all 8,813 wards across the country to create symbolic representations of the party closer to the people.
Ganduje made this announcement during the inauguration of the Kogi State Gubernatorial Campaign Council on Saturday. He emphasized that the party’s goal is to institutionalize progressive ideology in the country’s political landscape, which can lead to improvements in the lives of Nigerians through appropriate political actions and social reforms based on advancements in science, technology, economic development, and social organization.
The National Chairman also mentioned the importance of having party offices at the grassroots level to facilitate interaction among party members and between members and leadership at various levels of government. He expressed the party’s commitment to producing truly progressive-minded politicians through the National Institute of Progressive Study, which will help differentiate the APC from other political parties primarily focused on capturing power.
Ganduje urged all party members and stakeholders to support the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming Kogi State election.
