Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s administration will address the country’s infrastructure deficits as soon as possible.
Shettima gave the assurance on Wednesday in Maiduguri, when he paid a Sallah homage to Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, the Shehu of Borno.
He said that all infrastructure challenges in the country, including the Gamboru Ngala, Dikwa, and Damboa Roads in Borno, will be solved.
“The Shehu of Borno raised some very poignant issues confronting the society, particularly the lack of infrastructure.”
“The Shehu discussed road issues that needed to be addressed right away, particularly the Gamboru Ngala and Dikwa Roads.” It certainly will be addressed, so will the issue of Damboa.
“I am here to assure the Shehu of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s full support and that all the challenges confronting us as a people will be overcome,” he said.
Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum praised the vice president as a man of the people and a grassroots politician in his speech.
He said Shettima’s first visit to the state as the country’s vice president was highly significant to the people of Borno, and that “it was a homecoming for our son.”
In his welcome remarks, Shehu also praised the vice president as a worthy son of Borno, emphasizing that the affection he received reflected in the tremendous support he gave to the people.
