Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, has successfully completed a season-long loan transfer to Real Madrid during this summer’s transfer window.
This move was officially announced by Chelsea through a statement released on their website on Monday morning.
Kepa initially joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018, having transferred from Athletic Club.
Throughout his inaugural season with the club, Kepa solidified his position as the first-choice goalkeeper, participating in 54 matches that culminated in Chelsea’s triumph in the Europa League competition.
Furthermore, Kepa notably contributed to Chelsea’s victories in the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
Chelsea’s statement concluded, “The club extends its best wishes to Kepa for the upcoming season in Madrid, where he will collaborate with former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti.”
