The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has raised an alarm about a syndicate that is exploiting its name to scam unsuspecting citizens.
The anti-graft agency warned Nigerians on Wednesday to be aware of people selling handouts apparently containing past questions from the agency’s previous recruitments.
“In light of this unwholesome development,” the statement adds, “ICPC wishes to make it abundantly clear that it has nothing to do with the so-called past questions.”
The commission urged members of the public to file complaints by calling the toll-free number 0800-2255-4272 (0800-CALL-ICPC), and said it would punish anybody found “disseminating fake information and extorting money from hapless applicants.”
