Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), made a heartfelt plea to the members of his church during the RCCG Holy Ghost Service of the 71st Annual Convention held at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday.
Addressing the congregation, Pastor Adeboye recounted how he has been accused by some individuals, including prophets, of employing demonic forces to perform miracles, signs, and wonders, as well as in his role as a spiritual leader.
He noted that he had initially chosen to disregard these allegations, often appearing on the internet, yet he became aware that some people might actually believe these unfounded claims. Reflecting on this, he decided to address the issue openly.
Pastor Adeboye emphasized that he places a strong reliance on prayer, and to clarify his stance, he asked the congregation to pray alongside him. He urged them to supplicate that if he was ever connected to forces of darkness, he should pass away before sunrise to protect the integrity of his ministry and the church. He earnestly prayed for God’s intervention, asking that if he operates solely through divine power, his abilities be increased sevenfold.
The revered pastor expressed his deep concern about misleading information and wanted to ensure that no one would be misguided by false claims. His appeal underlined his commitment to his faith and his desire to remain aligned with divine guidance.
