President Bola Tinubu has stated that the international community is offering support and praise to the Federal Government for its removal of fuel subsidy and foreign exchange regime policies, as they are yielding positive outcomes.

He made this assertion at a Gala/Award Night organized by the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to celebrate the 2023 Civil Service Week. The event aimed to recognize and honor exceptional civil servants for their contributions to the country’s economic development.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, President Tinubu acknowledged that these policies may have impacted the masses in some ways, but assured that the government is working on measures to alleviate the effects.

He promised targeted interventions to provide relief and support to the citizens facing hardships due to these measures.

The President expressed gratitude to civil servants for their tireless efforts and pledged to further support the civil service sector, recognizing its role as the custodian of public trust. He emphasized the importance of consolidating the gains of ongoing reforms in the sector.
