Governor Hope Uzodinma has emerged as the All Progressives Congress, or APC, candidate for governor of Imo State.
Rear Admiral William Kayoda (ret. ), the head of the Governorship Primary Election Committee, named Uzodinma the party’s flagbearer for the election on November 11.
On Friday, the Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri, the state capital, hosted the party’s primary election.
Following the party’s adoption of the direct primary election mode, Uzodimma received 63,618 votes.
If re-elected, Uzodinma pledged in his speech to step up his efforts to combat insecurity and provide the state’s citizens with decent government.
