Revd Fr Ejike Mbaka, founder of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), has warned that politicians’ bitter politics are dividing Nigeria.
Mbaka, addressing at the Adoration Ground in Umuchigbo-Nike, Enugu, on the occasion of Catholic Mothering Sunday, compared politicians to hawks and vultures.
The fierce Christian cleric further said that the religious leaders had offended God at the just concluded 2023 elections, and that he had begged God for forgiveness on their behalf.
“I apologise on behalf of all priests and pastors for our shortcomings, particularly during the election and throughout this political period,” Mbaka said. We have offended God in the process, but please forgive us because we got it wrong.
“The power of God is greater than any rigging; the country is rotten; let us use the time we spend on politics to find solutions to our problems.” Politics is now dividing Nigerians, and I refer to these politicians as political hawks and vultures.”
