On Saturday, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the recently concluded presidential election, had a resounding greeting in Delta and Edo States.
The crowd in Delta State went wild, chanting “Obi, Obi, Obi” as the Labour Party candidate waved with a huge smile on his face.
Obi, who finished third in the February 25 election, visited Delta and Edo States to thank his supporters.
The Labour Party Presidential Candidate received the most votes in Delta and Edo, both of which are governed by the PDP.
He received more than 150,000 votes more than Atiku in Delta, despite the fact that Atiku’s deputy, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, is from the state.
Crowds lined up on both sides of the road as Obi waved from an open-roof vehicle, just as during the campaign.
A massive crowd cheered Obi as he went through the state.
“I’m passing through Delta State – a great opportunity to say a big thank you to the Delta OBIdients for remaining steadfast,” Obi stated.
