President Bola Tinubu told Nigerians on Wednesday to have faith in God that the country will experience peace, stability, and prosperity.
Speaking to reporters after attending Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Lagos, the President stressed the need for unity and cooperation, urging Nigerians to avoid ethnic and religious rivalry.
He said that Allah would not burden the country with what it cannot bear.
Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, cited the President as saying, “”I thank Almighty Allah for maintaining us in good health till now and ask to Him to grant us robust health and prosperity.”
We must, without a doubt, make the necessary sacrifices.
“However, Allah will not burden you with a burden you cannot carry.” He is always there for us. We must believe in the country. Believe in ourselves, knowing that as citizens of our country, we must join hands to build the country.
“Let us live with one another with joy and prosperity, with no religious or tribal identities.” Nigeria will experience peace and stability, and God will provide peace to those of us on the front lines.”
President Tinubu also used the occasion to pray for Nigerian troops on the frontlines of the insurgency war, saying victory is his and the nation’s earnest desire.
