President Muhammadu Buhari has said that after he leaves office, the neighboring Niger Republic will defend him.
Buhari is set to hand over the Aso Presidential Villa to President-elect Bola Tinubu on Monday, May 29.
He is currently bragging about his friendly relationship with the Niger Republic. Niger will defend him if Nigerians make the country difficult to stay in after the handover ceremony.
Buhari made the remarks on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Nigeria Customs Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. He also said that he will return to his hometown of Daura, which is far from Abuja but closer to Niger Republic.
“I only said a few things about my personal belief because I only have six more days to go.”
“I also try to stay as far away from Abuja as possible.” I came from a remote place far away from Abuja.
“I said that if anybody moves with force, I have a good relationship with my neighbors.” “The people of Niger will defend me,” Buhari said.
