Mason Greenwood has been added to Manchester United’s retained list for the 2023-24 season.
On Friday, the club made the announcement on their official website.
The 21-year-old has been suspended from matches and training since January 2022, when he was accused with attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behavior – charges that were later withdrawn in February 2023.
United launched their own inquiry, which is still ongoing.
Despite his retention, which appears to be on contractual terms, United’s decision on the player’s future at the club remains mostly unknown.
The 21-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until 2025, with an option for an additional year.
