Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has nominated fourteen individuals, including four former cabinet members, to serve as commissioners in the state.
During Monday’s plenary, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, read out the list of names. He emphasized that Governor AbdulRazaq’s selection adheres to the provisions outlined in sections 14(14) and 192(125) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Among those nominated are former commissioners Saadat Modibbo-Kawu (Ilorin South), Senior Suleiman (Ilorin West), Olaitan Buraimo (Oyun), and Aliyu Sabi (Baruten).
The Speaker instructed all nominees to submit 35 copies of their CVs to the clerk’s office by the end of the working day on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, to facilitate the screening process scheduled for the following day.
Additionally, the House granted approval for the governor’s request to appoint ten special advisers.
