Late on Thursday evening, a group of bandits reportedly carried out an attack on St. Raphael Parish situated in Fadan Kamantan, within the Kafanchan Diocese in Southern Kaduna. During this attack, the parish house was set ablaze, and tragically, a seminarian named Na’aman Danlami was trapped in the fire and lost his life. His remains have been placed in the mortuary.
While some of the priests managed to escape during the incident, there has been no official confirmation from either the state government or the Kaduna State Police Command at this time.
However, Reverend John Hayab, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna State, verified the occurrence when contacted by our correspondent via telephone. He expressed his sorrow over the ongoing violence and wicked acts happening in the region.
Further details will be provided later as the situation develops.
