Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, has tendered his resignation from his current position. His focus will now shift to his newly appointed role as President Bola Tinubu’s Principal Secretary. In a letter addressed to the state’s civil servants on Monday, Muri-Okunola announced that his career in the civil service will end on September 29, 2023.
He has already informed the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of his decision to step down. Muri-Okunola expressed gratitude for the fulfilling journey and experiences he has had throughout his career, which he will cherish for the rest of his life.
He is now transitioning to a new role within The Presidency, where he will assist and contribute to the realization of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda—a career move inspired by the man who initially led him into public service and ultimately propelled him to the position of Head Of Service.
