Prominent Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Oderhwo Joseph Efe, also known as Carter Efe, has raised alarm about being blackmailed by someone who possesses his personal video. Efe revealed that this person is making threats to expose a video from his bedroom.
The artist known for the hit song ‘Machala’ expressed his decision to inform the public prior to the blackmailer’s potential release of his private video.
In a message shared on his social media handle, Carter Efe wrote, “I want to make a public announcement that I am currently facing blackmail, and there is a possibility that my intimate video will be made public. I am sharing this information with everyone before it becomes public.”
It was reported that an escalating trend of private videos belonging to Nigerian celebrities making their way onto the internet. Notably, Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal recently made headlines when her private video surfaced online.
She clarified that the bedroom video involved her estranged fiancé and was released without her consent. The actress also indicated her intention to pursue legal action in response to the incident.
