The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has stated that the government’s response, not the use of force, will determine the duration of the ongoing protest.
NLC President Joe Ajaero made this disclosure during an interview with Channels TV at Unity Fountain in the FCT on Wednesday.
The NLC commenced its protest on Wednesday morning, demonstrating against ‘anti-people’ policies in various states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Cross River, Ebonyi, Ogun, Imo, Ondo, Edo, and others.
Ajaero emphasized that the NLC will assess the government’s response to decide whether the protest will continue for today, tomorrow, or an indefinite period. He stressed that stopping people from expressing their views with force is not the NLC’s approach.
