The Ekiti State Government has given its approval for the distribution of an additional batch of car loans amounting to N136,260,000 to 368 civil servants. Explaining the disbursement details of the loan, Oyebode specified that the beneficiaries of the loan scheme would receive amounts ranging from N80,000 to N1.5 million based on their respective grade levels.
For instance, 22 beneficiaries in grade levels 2 to 6 would each receive N80,000, while 180 individuals in grade levels 7 to 10 would be granted N250,000 each. Furthermore, 150 workers in grade levels 12 to 14 would obtain N500,000 each, 13 personnel in grade levels 15 to 17 would be awarded N750,000 each, and three beneficiaries on consolidated salaries would receive N1.5 million each.
The Commissioner also recalled that a sum of N130.7 million had been disbursed as car loans in December 2022.
In another development, Governor Biodun Oyebanji extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his victory in the presidential election. Governor Oyebanji characterized the President’s success in the apex court as the ultimate legal endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer’s resounding victory in the 2023 presidential election, which took place on February 25, 2023.
He described the Supreme Court’s decision as a triumph for democracy, the rule of law, and a significant legal precedent in the nation’s electoral jurisprudence that would serve as a reference point for generations to come.
