The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Enugu State chapter, has suspended some of its members as a result of the recently completed general election for suspected anti-party conduct.
A previous candidate for governor, Jeff Nnamani, a civil servant with the Ministry of Land in Enugu State, Emmanuel Eze, and a law student, Ephraim Chukwu, are at the top of the list of suspended members.
Celestine Onoh, Johnson Ezeugwu, Edward Chiekwe, Samuel Ugwu, Frank Chibueze, Kingsley Ude, Chinedu Eze, Greg Okafor, Emeka Ani, and Ferdinand Anioke are some of the more individuals.
In a statement released yesterday, the chairman, Ndubuisi Elechi-Onyia, confirmed that the affected members’ suspension has been approved by the state working committee (SWC).
Rising from its meeting on April 10, 2023, the SWC of the APGA in Enugu has recommended the immediate suspension of certain of its members for a variety of anti-party behaviors in connection with the recently concluded federal and state elections in the state.
The SWC of APGA Enugu State therefore announces these APGA members’ immediate suspension from the party till the conclusion of the disciplinary committee constituted by the party in the state, having established a prima-facie case against them in Enugu.
Elechi-Onyi said that the disciplinary committee has been given two weeks by the SWC to present its report.
