Bayero University, Kano, has expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for alleged examination malpractice.
This is indicated in a statement sent to the media on Sunday by the Director of Exams, Admissions, and Records, Hajia Amina Abdullahi.
“In its 400th meeting on Thursday, January 26, 2023, the Senate dismissed 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly participating in examination malpractice,” Abdullahi stated.
According to the statement, the Senate’s decision was in conformity with the University’s General Regulations categories 20, 17 (AI, III, IV, V, VI, VII, and XII).
The statement added that 22 other students were however warned by the Senate.
