Presently, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, is hosting the members of the Nigerian women’s football team, the Super Falcons, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Super Falcons were eliminated from the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, after a penalty shootout loss to the English team on Monday, August 7.
This occasion marks another instance of the First Lady’s engagement with successful Nigerian female sports teams. Earlier this past Monday, she also convened a meeting with the triumphant Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigresses. Senator Tinubu continues to provide encouragement to these accomplished Nigerian female athletes, offering her support and organizing gatherings of this nature.
