Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann has stated that if Bayern Munich fails to win the Bundesliga this season, manager Thomas Tuchel would be sacked.
Tuchel took over as coach at the Allianz Arena after Julian Nagelsmann was sacked in March.
Tuchel’s tenure at Bayern has been a disaster, with the team falling to second in the Bundesliga league, one point behind Dortmund, following Saturday’s results.
Bayern Munich was just knocked out of the Champions League and the German Cup.
Tuchel, on the other hand, has produced a “very confused impression” in his first month as manager, with only two wins in seven games across all competitions.
“The leadership may be confused, but the coach also makes a very confused impression in his four weeks so far,” Hamann said, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
“If he also gambles away the championship, it is clear that he will be fired.”
