“Chad (9.2 million, 57%), Sierra Leone (4.4 million, 53%), Cameroon (10.2 million, 40%), Liberia (1.7 million, 38%), Central African Republic (1.6 million, 35%), Togo (2.7 million, 34%), Guinea-Bissau (0.6 million, 34%), and Nigeria (64.7 million, 34%).”
Insufficient food food consumption was defined by the global Bank as poor or borderline food consumption as indicated by the Food Consumption Score. It is stated to be different from food insecurity.
The food security situation in West Africa is expected to worsen as the dry season progresses in the coming months, according to the Washington-based bank. While domestic food price inflation is high, it is most bad in Africa, North America, Latin America, South Asia, Europe, and Central Asia, according to the report.
