Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, has highlighted the sole move his Labour Party rival, Peter Obi, must do to stand a chance of winning the presidential election.
Obi’s prospects of winning the presidential race, according to Kwankwaso, are dependent on a merger with him.
The NNPP presidential contender talked on Channels Television’s ‘The 2023 Verdict’ on Friday evening.
“You see, I can tell you, and I’ve stated it here in this chair when we were ready to come together, that the only opportunity they (Labour Party) had was for us to come together,” Kwankwaso added.
Kwankwaso explained why the anticipated merger with Obi did not work out a few weeks ago.
According to the former Kano State governor, it failed because Obi’s LP was at the height of media attention.
