The Osun government has denied the reports of an on-going recruitment drive within the state civil service, saying it is misleading. Malam Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke, made this clarification in a statement released on Friday in Osogbo.
Rasheed emphasized that the state government was not currently conducting any recruitment for positions in the civil service. He urged the public to disregard the circulated information and encouraged them to promptly report any fraudulent activities using the state government’s name to the relevant authorities.
“The Osun Government would like to inform the general public that there is no ongoing recruitment for any positions within the state Civil Service Commission. Any information circulating on social media or other platforms regarding recruitment by the Osun Government is untrue and deceptive,” he stated.
Regarding the distribution of employment forms by the Civil Service Commission, Rasheed clarified that it was a routine process followed by all civil service commissions. However, he stressed that this routine activity did not signify the commencement of a recruitment exercise by the state government.
Rasheed concluded by advising the public to disregard such information and to report any attempts to defraud them using the Osun State Government’s name to the appropriate authorities. He assured that official announcements through government channels would be made when the government was prepared to initiate a staff recruitment process.
