On Monday, President Bola Tinubu arrived at the G20 “Compact with Africa” conference site. The event is being hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Marriot Hotel in Berlin.
Accompanying President Tinubu are key officials, including the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.
President Tinubu is participating in the conference alongside bilateral partners, heads of international organizations, and leaders of state and government from Compact with Africa (CwA) member nations. The discussions will focus on immediate steps to enhance economic and business cooperation, with an emphasis on concrete measures to boost investments in crucial areas such as energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies.
President Bola Tinubu’s well-recognized efforts to attract foreign direct investment to Nigeria will be reinforced during this visit. It reflects his dedication to advancing diplomatic reciprocity, as this visit follows the invitation extended by the German Chancellor, who previously visited Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, from October 29 to October 30, 2023.
