The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Osogbo, has overturned Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory in the July 16, 2022 governorship elections.
Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had challenged Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDPelection )’s on the basis of over-voting and certificate fraud.
In its verdict, the tribunal chaired by Justice Tertsea Kume concluded that all documents submitted by the petitioner (Oyetola) are genuine and lawful, and Adeleke’s move to reject them was denied.
It also determined that Governor Ademola Adeleke is academically prepared to run for governor of Osun.
