President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding the third Federal Executive Council meeting during his administration. The meeting is taking place at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja.
The meeting began around 01:10 pm and is attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan; the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
Notably absent are Vice President Kashim Shettima, who is currently in the United States of America, and several ministers, including Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Culture, Art, and Creative Economy, and Lola Ade-John, the Minister of Tourism.
In a change from the previous schedule of Wednesdays, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced last Monday that the council meetings would now be held on Mondays. Idris further explained that the council meetings may not occur every week but will convene only when there are significant issues that require discussion.
