Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State emphasized that Nigeria must undergo disruptive changes, such as the removal of subsidy on petrol (Premium Motor Spirit) and the floating of the naira, in order to achieve victory. He also stressed the importance of embracing the country’s greatest resource, “human capital.”
During the commissioning of the Solution Innovation District in Awka, the state capital, Soludo highlighted the need to move away from the old order and focus on the future. He encouraged the thorough adoption of technology, which would create more opportunities for the youth in society.
In a statement provided in Abuja on Thursday, Governor Soludo said, “Nigeria must embrace necessary disruptive changes, even if the world is moving east or west. Removing the subsidy and floating the exchange rate are some of these changes. The timing of opening this district is quite auspicious.”
Governor Soludo emphasized that human capital is the nation’s greatest resource and must be harnessed to its fullest potential. He urged the youth to take advantage of the ongoing disruptive changes and adapt to the digital age by continuously innovating and acquiring scalable skills to control the future.
Furthermore, Soludo stated the state’s commitment to empowering and training its youths to become world champions and control the future. He declared technology as the state’s mantra, aiming to make it a cultural norm and encourage innovation and invention.
Governor Soludo dismissed the small fraction of criminals causing a nuisance in society, stating that they do not define the larger population.
Earlier, Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his dedication to realizing the vision of the Solution Innovation District. She described the district as a platform for creativity, innovation, and the exploration of talents, encouraging youths to think big and explore their immense potential.
