Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry, has characterized poor people as the most dagerous people in the world.
The religious leader expressed his distress that a significant proportion of those who have criticized him are individuals facing financial hardship.
Suleman conveyed this viewpoint in a post he shared on his Facebook page.
He conveyed that although he has the capability to overpower and quash any destitute person who causes him trouble, he refrains from doing so because he believes that God also has the power to render him powerless.
The clergyman shared that God had admonished him to consistently show kindness to impoverished individuals, which is why he doesn’t respond when they launch attacks against him.
He stated, “The world’s most hazardous individuals are those who are economically deprived. Impoverished individuals can be hazardous. They can be a ‘trap’. I am speaking sincerely.
“Among the instructions God gave me while I was praying was a covenant that would perpetually secure my prosperity. One of those covenants is ‘extend kindness to the impoverished.’ I have adhered to this principle throughout my life.
“Oddly, the people who have targeted me are consistently impoverished individuals. I’ve often pondered what I might have done. If you take a look at the social media posts where my name is being criticized, you’ll discover it’s invariably coming from the poor. I ask myself, why haven’t the affluent accused me? Is it because I’m bound by a covenant that prohibits me from attacking anyone who is impoverished?
“If I ever choose to take action against someone, it means they have exceeded tolerable limits. When the target is wealthy, I’m aware they can handle it. However, when it’s someone without the means, I know they are laying a trap for you.
“You come after them, God will come after you. You see why poor people are set up. You come after them, and someone will come after you. You have the capacity to grind the person to powder, but God has the capacity to grind you to powder too.”
