The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, former senate president, Pius Anyim, Prof Dennis Ityavyar and Aslam Aliyu for alleged anti-party activities.

The development was contained in a statement released on Thursday by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba.

According to the statement, “the suspension, which takes effect on Thursday, arrived at after an extensive review of the affairs of the party, pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).”

The main opposition party also reported Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee for alleged anti-party activities.

“The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming of party members across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time,” the statement read.
