Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, who claimed to be a pastor affiliated with the Christ Liberty Evangelism Church in Rosco, Iyana Iyesi, Ota, along with three other individuals, were apprehended in the Saje Area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. The three accomplices of Oluwaseyi are 30-year-old Ibrahim Agbowewe, 40-year-old Suleiman Ogunbunmi, and 57-year-old Gafari Akinsanya.
These arrests occurred during the early hours of a Saturday when officers from the state police command acted on information provided by concerned members of the public who had observed the suspects engaging in suspicious activities in the area.
In response to this tip-off, law enforcement authorities swiftly moved to the location and took the suspects into custody. Along with the individuals, the police also seized a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car, and a ram, all of which were found in their possession and transported to the police station.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrests, stating that the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Furthermore, it was noted that all four suspects have admitted to their involvement in the crime.
