The residents of Egbeda community in Kobape, situated within the Obafemi/Owode local government area of Ogun State, were overwhelmed with joy as a private company recently supplied a transformer, putting an end to their 12-year-long period of darkness.
Crestline Properties Nigeria Limited generously provided this transformer, offering the community’s indigenous people and residents a fresh start.
In discussions with reporters, Chief Sunday Fasesan Solola, the Baale of Egbeda village, could not conceal his elation. He conveyed that the arrival of the transformer marks the commencement of a transformative journey for the community.
He emphasized that the installation and activation of the transformer would not only brighten the physical landscape of the community but also symbolize the company’s shared commitment to progress, unity, and the collective well-being of the community.
“As you can see, the installation and energization processes have already begun, and the once-darkened streets of Egbeda and its neighbouring communities are now bathed in the radiance of light,” he expressed.
Fasesan underscored the significance of the development that the provision of electricity would bring to the community, describing it as a symbol of hope, growth, and connectivity. He remarked, “Our community’s aspirations for growth and development are finally becoming a reality.”
Chief Jelili Shogbamu, the Baale of Sokenu Village, echoed Chief Fasesan’s sentiments, emphasizing that darkness had cast a shadow over their progress for years.
