Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the February 25, 2023 election, stated that nobody can compel him to leave Nigeria.
Mr Obi previously declared that he was under pressure to leave the country, but that he was committed to building a new Nigeria.
Mr Obi stated at a campaign event in Onitsha, Anambra State, to raise support for Afam Ogene, the Labour Party candidate for Ogbaru Federal Constituency, that there are too many thieves in the country who cause hardship to the populace.
He did, however, emphasize that the Labour Party is dedicated to rid the country’s political system of such people.
“As a result, the Labour Party is fighting to build a new Nigeria.”I am here with you, and nobody is going to force me to leave Nigeria,” Obi said.
