The military commanders who orchestrated a coup in Niger last month have established a fresh governing body, as announced through a decree broadcasted on national television on Thursday.
The newly formed 21-member government will be led by Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine. The positions of defense and interior ministries will be overseen by generals from the recently established military governing council.
