Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has offered reassurance to Nigerians that the strength of the naira will soon improve. He expressed his belief that the days when the naira held a stronger position compared to the dollar would make a comeback.
Speaking during the RCCG’s monthly Thanksgiving service, which was themed ‘Uncommon Miracles,’ Pastor Adeboye reminisced about the past when the Nigerian currency could compete favourably with the dollar. He stated, “The days when the naira will regain its strength will return; those glorious days will be back. When that time comes, you will witness it.”
Adeboye also shared that he had experienced extraordinary testimonies and miracles, some of which were so remarkable that they were hard for others to believe. He emphasized that miracles were inherently extraordinary events and that God had the ability to bestow miracles that were beyond ordinary comprehension.
Currently, the exchange rate stands at about N915 for one US dollar, with a higher rate of N918 in the black market. The rising dollar exchange rate has resulted in increased living costs for Nigerians.
