Kano State Police Command (CP), has banned all forms of protests within the state. This directive was issued on Monday due to intelligence reports received by the Command.
The information indicated that the New Nigeria People’s Party and the All Progressives Congress, the two prominent political parties, had gathered a rented crowd with intentions to initiate a protest.
This protest, however, lacked the endorsement of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
Further developments on this matter are to come.
