Social and political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has expressed her disapproval of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Jonathan’s visit to the Presidential Villa on Friday was reported to be a congratulatory visit to Tinubu following the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming his election.

After a private meeting with Tinubu, Jonathan emphasized the importance of past presidents coming together to find solutions to alleviate poverty among the masses. He acknowledged that the election matters had been settled and it was time to support Tinubu.

However, Aisha Yesufu took to her social media platform to criticize Jonathan’s actions, stating, “Jonathan still sees himself as that child without shoes,” and pointing out that this is an example of the “law of the lid” in action. She further expressed her belief that Jonathan played a role in making President Buhari a viable option, despite having defeated him easily in 2011.

Yesufu also referenced the violence that occurred during Jonathan’s administration and how it was sometimes treated lightly, with people idealizing his presidency and turning him into a hero he was not.
