On Tuesday, the Jonas Brothers singer filed for divorce from the 27-year-old Game of Thrones star in the Miami-Dade County court in Florida.
The divorce filing states that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
Sophie Turner, originally from Northampton, is renowned for her portrayal of Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones and her role as Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.
Joe Jonas, who hails from Arizona, rose to prominence with his brothers Nick and Kevin as part of a band in 2005 and subsequently starred in a Disney Channel series.
The musical duo released their sixth studio album in May and are presently on a tour of US stadiums.
