Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved the appointment of new Heads of Agencies and additional staff members for the Urban Renewal Project. According to a press release issued by the Governor’s Media aide, Comrade Suleiman Bala Idris, these appointments were officially announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Mallam Abubakar Nakwada, as part of the state’s strategic efforts.
The appointments encompass various key roles, including the Executive Secretaries for Zamfara Geographic Information Services (ZAGIS) and Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board (ZUREPB). Specifically, ESV. Abubakar Muhammad Talata Mafara has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of Zamfara Geographic Information Services, and TPL. Abdullahi Bala has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board.
To ensure the effective implementation and oversight of the ongoing Urban Renewal Project, the Governor has also approved the appointment of additional assistants. Among the newly appointed individuals are Ibrahim Muhammad, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant for Town and Country Planning. Other appointments include Arc. Abdullahi Shehu as Special Assistant for Project Planning and Design, Bldr. Jibo Dango as Special Assistant for Construction, Engr. Bakwai Sa’idu Zurmi as Special Assistant for Electrical and Mechanical Projects, Engr. Abdullahi Bangaje as Special Assistant for Road Projects, and Q.S Muhammad Sambo Nahuce as Special Assistant for Project Evaluation and Estimation.
This move underscores the state government’s dedication to advancing urban development and infrastructure initiatives while also boosting the overall progress and prosperity of Zamfara State.
