Pokenoser has learned that the suspension of Atibioke comes as a result of his unauthorized departure from the venue of a three-day retreat for members of the State Executive Council and Permanent Secretaries. This retreat took place at Bishop Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.
A statement released by Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor, indicates that Atibioke, the Commissioner, left the retreat venue without obtaining permission. Furthermore, he was absent when the newly appointed Commissioners were expected to participate in the signing of a performance charter.
According to the statement, Governor Oyebanji, who had actively participated in all sessions of the three-day retreat starting from Thursday, emphasized his administration’s strong stance against indiscipline and subpar performance.
It’s worth noting that Commissioner Atibioke had been sworn in less than a week before this incident occurred.
