Despite criticism, Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke has vowed not to quit dancing.
He revealed that his childhood dream was to become an entertainer.
Governor Adeleke told News Central Africa that he couldn’t achieve his dream since his father urged him to pursue an academic career.
“Music makes me feel so happy,” he stated. I love music. I enjoy dancing. In fact, I was intended to be in entertainment business. Throughout our childhood, our father felt that you had to be a doctor or a lawyer; you had to go to school.”
He said while schooling in the United States, he went to dancing competitions and won dollars as prize money.
“I still have it [dancing] in me,” Adeleke said. I do not believe it should stop because I am a governor or because I was a senator. Everyone would get stuck up when we have get together.”
He warned his critics not to try to control his life, and added that there is time for everything, including dancing.
He did, however, clarify that dancing will not stop him from carrying out his duties as governor.
Adeleke is the father of notable Nigerian artists B-Red and Shina Rambo, as well as the uncle of famed singer Davido.
