Garth Crooks, a former Manchester United forward, praised Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for his performance in the Gunners’ 2-0 Premier League derby triumph against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Odegaard was instrumental in Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Tottenham last weekend, scoring a goal.
The former Real Madrid player has played a key role in Arsenal’s pursuit of their first Premier League championship since 2004.
“I’ve been praising Martin Odegaard for quite some time this season. I’ve also seen him develop into a first-rate player and lead Arsenal to the Premier League title. “His effort against the Spurs was another high-quality display,” Crooks remarked (via BBC Sport).
“His goal was brilliantly hit and put the game beyond beyond Tottenham’s powers,” he continued. That said, a competent goalkeeper would stop a strike from that distance, but Hugo Lloris hasn’t been decent in a long time.”
