President Muhammadu Buhari celebrated Sallah in the Presidential Villa for the last time. He told dignitaries thronging the seat of power on Friday that he can’t wait to get back home after eight years in charge.
The 9th and last Sallah homage was place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Buhari, who was all smiles, hailed himself as fortunate to have served as governor, minister, head of state, and President of Nigeria.
He praised FCT people for being accommodating hosts over the previous seven and a half years.
“I can’t wait to go home…I deliberately arranged to be as far away as possible from you people. I have got what I asked for and will quietly retire to my home town in Daura,” Buhari stated at the brief event.
