On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu issued a directive to Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, the Director-General and CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), instructing him to begin a 90-day pre-retirement leave. This directive will be effective from August 24, 2023, leading to Aziz’s official retirement from his position on November 24, 2023. President Tinubu has also given his approval for the designation of Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the interim Acting Director-General and CEO of NIMC. Additionally, President Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the Director and CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC). This decision comes after the recent conclusion of the term of the former DTAC Director and CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi. This appointment is effective immediately.
