Elder Washima Erukaa, who was abducted by gunmen on September 23rd in his Zakibiam residence, located in the Ukum Local Government area of Benue State, has reportedly been killed by his abductors. Washima Erukaa previously served as the chairman of both Katsina Ala and Ukum Local Government areas in the state.
According to a reliable family member, the kidnappers have informed them that Erukaa, who was 80 years old, has passed away and has been buried. Nevertheless, the police spokesperson, Anene Catherine, has stated that she does not possess any information regarding this development and will provide an update when available.
